The 3 Golden Keys To Changing Your Body

Its the new year...and you are ready for massive change to your body and your life. Where do you start? Whether you want to lose weight, gain weight, or just live a more healthy lifestyle; there are 3 keys you need to know.

COMMITMENT TO YOUR SELF AND GOAL

For most people it takes about a month to develop a habit. Many people do not succeed with whatever there goal is because they never let the habit form. Your goals must be realistic with your daily life. If you want to lose 10 pounds...force yourself to go to the gym everyday at the same time. You must form a routine for any goal to work.

Once you begin forming habits and routines you will begin seeing success. Things will not seem to discourage you anymore and it will take a dramatic event to keep you from your day's health and fitness goals.

A great way of forming fitness habits is by having things written out for you. Whether it is a diet, a workout plan, or just a daily schedule...having things written down on paper can help you follow your day to day routine. I have many very good links on the left side of my page with diet and fitness plans. Getting started and forming your habits will be the hardest part to getting started on any fitness goal. Once you do this you will be well on your way to achievement.

KEEP TRACK OF DIET AND WORKOUTS

I briefly mentioned this in the first rule, but I cannot stress this enough. Most everyone that ever fails at any fitness goal only fails because they have nothing written down for motivation. I always make sure that I have my daily diet and workout written out for me so I will not have any temptation to stray.

The first thing you should do is develop your diet and workout program, or find someone who is very knowledgeable in the fitness field to do this for you. Again, the links on the left side of my page are all wonderful sites that provide this type of information. If you do not keep track of what you do, over time you will most assuredly lose track of where you started and what did or did not work for you. You may have even made progress in building muscle or fat loss, however, when you hit that wall it is awesome to be able to look back at your training records and not have to guess about what to do next.

Keeping track of your dietary goals is by the far the most important thing you can do. No matter how disciplined and smart you are, I guarantee you will make more progress by writing down your goals. Whether you are trying to lose weight or gain weight, a written record will make sure you do not make errors such as overeating, under eating, or eating certain foods at wrong times of the day. Make sure you calculate your daily needs of calories, carbs, protein, and fat. These will vary from person to person and diet to diet, but the links to the left can help you solve these problems.

PREPARE MANY FOODS IN ADVANCE/ SUPPLEMENTS

You have your diet, your workout program, and your motivation...so what else? Well, depending on your daily schedule it is beneficial to prepare some of your foods in advance. If you having a well written diet plan, but you will be spending your day in an office, it will not help you much unless you prepare your foods and bring them with you. I know this sounds simple, but I cannot count how many people have told me they failed at there goal because they could not make food for there diet everyday.

Any nutrition plan will need some type of proper supplementation. I suggest everyone take a daily multivitamin to replace any nutrients you may not be getting because of your diet. Products such as fish oil or flax seed oil will help with diets that are not getting enough vital omega oils. For people trying to burn fat or build muscle I have links to some products that may also be helpful in reaching your goals.

In conclusion, I know the idea of changing your body can sometimes be a very frustrating process. If you incorporate these three golden keys into your life, it well be a big step in helping you reach whatever goals you set for yourself. I have confidence that everyone of you can and will reach your goals, because I have been there. The amount of dedication and perseverance you put into your program will yield the results you deserve. Good luck and have a nice day.
